Hi everyone! My name is Alexander Yatsentyuk. I am the founder and CEO of Infinity Technologies AG. I am Ukrainian by nationality and cosmopolitan by nature. It is 2022 now, and this is my first publication on a blog or any other media platform. Social media have never been a part of my everyday life. My friends and colleagues know how far I was from being a public person till this moment. But life and events around us are evolving, and we have to develop in accordance with them.
This particular time we are having the opportunity to become witnesses and participants in an unbelievable event of the 21st century. The war has changed everything for the Ukrainians, and I am not an exception. Today Ukrainian people are really fighting for their freedom. In this struggle, we witness the birth of our nation and its self-esteem. Sadly, the birth, as well as the fight for freedom, — are bloody experiences. And now we all are struggling to protect our right to live freely on our land.
I’ve always been a person with strong cosmopolitan beliefs. I was lucky to study not only in Sumy but also in Germany. And during that time I felt a distinction between me, Ukrainian, and my German colleagues. It was a noticeable difference in mentality and lifestyle. Studying and travelling is not the same as living in another country — it is not easy and fast to accept a foreign way of living and thinking. That’s why this distinction existed. In a normal, peaceful world, getting over it would take years. But with the war beginning, the world picked up the pace. Only now I’ve understood how much we are similar to the Europeans and the whole civilized world. Our values and views are similar because we really are Europeans. And it is not a matter of territorial possession, but of the values living in us. And the huge moral and material support from different countries shows us again, how personally other nations take the pain our country is experiencing these days.
Communicating with clients and colleagues from different countries, we hear numerous expressions of pity, sympathy and support. It warms our hearts, but unfortunately, it is not really helpful in our new reality. The main way of helping Ukrainians now is to continue collaboration with us without «waiting for things to be over here». When you, as a foreign client, continue working with Ukrainian companies and buying Ukrainian services and goods, you provide us with your own «economical lend-lease» for our country. For all Ukrainian businesses, the possibility to do our jobs, pay salaries to our workers and taxes to our country, means invaluable support from the world. By cooperation with us, you provide us with the economical weapon to defeat the aggressor on our continent.
The experience we’re getting now, during the war in Ukraine, is incomparable to anything. The war has shown me what amazing people are the Ukrainians with their great energy, courage, ability to support, self-organize and self-sacrifice for sake of the things we’re defending now: our freedom, the normal peaceful life of our families and their future.
Sincerely,
Alexander Yatsentyuk
